How to reach The Wet Edge, what to send with a correction, and what this desk cannot answer.

Edition of

The desk reads its mail at contact@leonardpaul.com. Write in English and put the entry reference, the cote and the rubric, in the subject line if your message is about an existing entry.

A correction

Send the address of the entry, the sentence you believe is wrong, and the source that settles it. A named standard, a paper specification from a mill, a conservation publication or a museum catalogue entry is enough. A forum post, a shop listing or a video is not, because none of them can be checked against a fixed text.

An entry that is corrected is republished with a new checked-on date. The correction is not hidden: the sentence is rewritten and the date moves.

What this desk cannot answer

The desk does not value a painting, does not authenticate a work, does not identify an artist from a photograph and does not advise on a sale. It does not answer questions about a course, a price or a commission, because it offers none of them. Questions about a specific sheet, pigment or brush are welcome when the entry you are writing about is named, and the answer, when it is solid enough, becomes an entry.
